Summary:
Good stewardship is important for everyone, including small-scale animal producers. Using best management practices can protect the environment. These practices can also improve the health and well-being of your animals and increase your farm's profits. The Livestock and Poultry Environmental Stewardship (LPES) curriculum team has developed a set of fact sheets to assist small-scale animal producers in evaluating their operation and implementing practices to minimize environmental impact.
